Recently Cindy Ridle from the department of communications came to speak to PRSSA about internships. She spoke of how important internships are because they give you experience
in the you desired field and may even qualify as some college credit. For every 50 hours you work you earn one credit, and may and can still earn pay. Internships can lead to job
opportunities.
To get an internship always network and attend things such as career fairs. Look for internships at companies in the field of your choice . If the company you want does not offer
an internship be persistent don’t let them throw you off just because they first said no. Keep in touch with you on campus internship coordinators. 60 percent of jobs are done through
networking.
